Searching for Your Purpose? Read This.

“What am I doing with my life?”

“Why am I here?”

“What’s my purpose??”

If you’ve asked yourself one (or more) of these questions at some point in your life, you’re not alone

In fact, so many of us grapple with these questions that there’s actually a term for it now: Purpose Anxiety.

Humans aren’t wired to figure out their purpose, because for thousands of years it was set out for us—survival. But now that we’ve got that pretty well down pat, we get to choose our purpose. And our brains get a li’l overwhelmed by all the possibility (hence the anxiety part).

But the thing is, purpose is all around us. It’s EVERYWHERE.

Purpose exists in the things that warm your heart, and the things that break it.

It’s in the things that you get all passionately preachy about, and the things that get you riled up with anger.

From racial inequality and climate change, to animal welfare and world hunger, there’s no shortage of causes to dedicate your life to bettering.

I think you’ll find that by tuning in and paying closer attention to yourself and the world we live in, you’ll have a hard time choosing just one purpose.

But the good news is, you don’t have to! There isn’t just one thing we’re meant to do with our lives. We don’t have a singular destiny.

You’ll have many different purposes throughout your life. So for now, move toward the one that’s calling you the most.
