16 Sep Feel the Fear and Do It Scared
I wanna let you in on a li’l secret. Everything I’ve ever done in my business, I’ve done it scared.
The first time I coached someone? Scared.
The first time I spoke at a conference? Scared.
The first time I was interviewed on TV? Scared.
Even earlier this year, as I was bringing the Career Rebel podcast to life, those same familiar feelings of fear were hangin’ around once again.
But y’know what? I’ve never let fear stop me from doing the things I want to do. The things I’m *meant* to do.
‘Cause here’s the thing about this kind of fear: it only shows up when you’re tapping into your potential. When you’re taking the big, bold steps toward your calling.
So this fear that you think is trying to hold you back? It’s actually a guiding light, showing you the direction you’re meant to go in. We only feel this kind of fear around the things that have the ability to grow us in ways unimaginable, and push us wayyyy the heck outside of our comfort zones.
So if you’re wrestling with fear around something (like, say, quitting your 9-5 desk job to pursue work you love), you’re on the right track.
Feel the fear. Then take a deep breath and DO IT SCARED.
